Iowa Matrix is a 501c3 that is focused on building resilience in individuals and the community. We have multi domain, multi dimensional approach that strives to encourage self realization, values clarification, other and self awareness, and actualization. This is the “I AM”  we seek to bring to life and live out with potential.

In other words, we strive to be authentic in what Matrix means: a safe place or environment that supports new and healthy life. Iowa Matrix Volleyball is a girls youth program of Iowa Matrix that uses the activity of sport, specifically volleyball, to begin this process in young and developing females, for the purpose of raising confident women and having life long impact. Our program weaves in layers of this while doing club volleyball. We use a combination of philosophy from Acceptance and Commitment Theory (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Language, and Growth Mindset. Our mentors include Iowa Hawkeye volleyball players as models of this and who are coaches for our program. And we focus on 1) Personal Development 2) Mindset 3) Teamwork and Relationships 4) Excellence in Volleyball Skill.

This year for 2024-25 season, USAV Iowa Region is encouraging clubs to run summer to avoid school volleyball schedules for players . Iowa Matrix will host 13u, 14u, 15u and boys tryouts in late June and mid July.   11/12u will be scheduled  for early October. 

We would love to invite your developing athlete into our program and introduce and cultivate the awareness of what strong and healthy character and sport can move towards.
